Bascom Hall Portico - UW-Madison
This project consisted of rebuilding the East Portico of Bascom Hall, the iconic centerpiece building at the heart of the original UW-Madison campus. The wood columns were removed and faithfully restored (and replicated where necessary), and were installed around new steel columns that support the roof above. Vetter stone was sourced from Minnesota as replacement stone for original material that was in a condition too poor to retain. The replacement stone was tooled and faced to match the original Completion: 2005
